There once was a great man who
stood very tall.
His head would not fit through the door down the hall.
His head would not fit through the door down the hall.
On the day that he decided to go
through,
He noticed that he had lost his left shoe.
He noticed that he had lost his left shoe.
As he was turning back to head out
the door,
The next thing he knew, he was facing the floor.
The next thing he knew, he was facing the floor.
Hearing him fall, his neighbours
ran out for aid,
But the only thing they found was a band-aid.
But the only thing they found was a band-aid.
When the light from the moon
turned into the sun,
They finally understood that he was done.
They finally understood that he was done.

This is a poem that I wrote for school. The assignment was to do an adaptation of a nursery rhyme in any form you'd like. So, I chose to rewrite Humpty Dumpty.
Let me know what you think,
